I’m back home in Baltimore now, and I’m aiming to have the first part of my field report published some time tomorrow. In the six weeks I was away, I visited four intentional communities in Virginia and one in Washington D.C., all of which varied in size, stage of development, and cultural values.
Overall, the trip was a great success, and I made many new friends, learned a lot of new skills, and expanded my perception of not only what is possible to experience outside of mainstream America, but what is a more conscious and sustainable way to live close to the earth and in harmony with nature.
My experience at Light Morning was nothing short of life-changing, and I’m gradually adjusting back to my normal routine. My surroundings look the same, but I am definitely not the same person as I was before.
More coming soon.
