Inner Peace and the Old Game of Ego

We are born into this world as slaves of capitalism, and we are not free. In exchange for food, clothing, shelter, and other basic human rights as our current technology allows, we are forced to work for what should be ours by birthright. We are citizens of this planet, and our freedom has been held ransom by a fear-based belief system.

I often feel like a time traveler who has come back to a world that is still at war, filled with so much chaos and suffering. This is not the way humanity is supposed to live. People say that drama and adversity is human nature, but it is not. It is fear-based conditioning, the illusion of separation.

There is never a righteous reason for war or inequality. That is only a product of greed and disease, and that is a learned behavior, an indoctrinated belief system.

Humanity’s true nature is peaceful and utopian. It is what our species is meant for.

The 3D game is based on abundance versus scarcity. Success versus failure. It is dualistic, but true human nature is not dualistic.

Inner peace is simple. There is no drama, no suffering, no need or want. When you are in a state of inner peace, you are satisfied with simply being, existing as you are.

But that’s not what we’re taught. We’re taught that we are imperfect beings and that something external is the answers to our problems. We are not taught to be satisfied with who we are as individuals. There is always some material want or accomplishment to achieve, because we, by ourselves, are never good enough.

Well, I’m telling you that we are good enough. Those other things are luxuries. They do not make us who we are as people.

And once you can understand this concept for yourself, you will see the dualistic game of abundance versus scarcity disappear, because it will not have a hold on you any longer. You will not be its prisoner, and you will have access to a whole new game to play, one based on fun, rather than achievement.

I remember back in high school I played JV baseball and ended up with the highest batting average on the team at the end of the season, but I quit the team after that year, because, despite my success, I didn’t have fun. Playing baseball went from being my greatest joy to a chore, and all of the fun was sucked right out of it, because it was more about winning than actually playing the game. And once I realized that, I knew it was time for me to let it go, because what was once just a game that was played for fun turned into a pissing match of egos, even to the point of fights breaking out on the field. These men who were supposed to act like adults were still children inside, and it’s no different off the field in the real world.

Whether its politics or business or war, men and women who are supposed to be adults are still children inside, because they’ve never moved on from the old game, the pissing match of egos, and unfortunately these people are the ones who have the most control over the countries of this planet, as they are the ones who seek power the most.

A cruel joke, isn’t it?

We ask, where are all the good people? Why are all the people in leadership positions always rotten and corrupt? Because the good people don’t seek power over others. They don’t desire conquest, because that is not human nature. As I said, human nature is inner peace, it is to be good, not to be a conqueror or tyrant. And thus, this is how we’ve ended up in the situation that we’re in today. The best murderers in the world are the ones in charge of our countries. They don’t care about their people, because if they did, the major problems of the world would have been solved decades ago or never have existed in the first place.

But I don’t want to stray off topic here. I want to keep things simple, because it really is simple. Inner peace is freedom. It is the only salvation on a planet full of chaos and suffering. Find inner peace, and everything else will pale in comparison. You will find that the luxuries you used to care so much about are no longer attractive to you, and the inner silence of meditation and nature are much more pleasant, however, I must warn you: the further you progress on the spiritual path, the more difficult it will be to live in modern culture, since you will naturally become more sensitive as you deprogram yourself from the indoctrination of the Matrix that has been conditioned into you since birth.

This heightened sensitivity will likely result in you not wanting to participate in modern society any more, and this is difficult to deal with, which is why I always say that becoming awakened is both a gift and a curse. It is a gift because you are no longer asleep, but it is a curse because you can never go back to being ignorant again. You can never unsee the truth of the situation in the world, that humanity is a slave race and Earth is a prison planet. That is the silent war, the spiritual war that we must fight and conquer within ourselves, and it is the source of our existential crisis and suffering, because we lie to ourselves every day. We say, this is the way that it is, and there’s nothing we can do about it. We say, not in my backyard. But here’s the thing? We can’t lie to ourselves. We can’t really turn a blind eye to suffering, because we are all connected. We are a part of nature, and just like a human body, when one part of the body is in pain, the whole body suffers. We don’t say, well I have a headache but my arm feels fine, therefore I’m okay. No, we say, I have a headache, so I’m in pain.

If a child suffers across the globe, that suffering is yours too, because that’s a part of you out there. This is what we’ve become disconnected from, because we lie to ourselves. We tell ourselves everything is fine, because our personal situations are fine, but that isn’t accurate. That is irresponsible. The planet is not okay. We as a species are not okay. We are sick, and we need to fix what is broken. We need to become connected again. We need to care about each other again. This is how we change the world, and it has to start now.

We cannot fail like previous generations did. They were weak. They allowed themselves to become co-opted, indoctrinated, and assimilated. We are better than them. We have the technology that they didn’t with the Internet, and we have no excuse. We have to create a better world for our children. We cannot allow injustice and suffering to continue. We are stronger than ever before, and it’s time for society to change, but first we must each find inner peace. We must heal ourselves and deprogram ourselves from our conditioned beliefs.

Thank you for listening.

Where I’ve Been and What’s Coming Next

Hello everyone, my name is Skyler Newman, and I’m the founder of Freedom Earth, and in this video I just wanted to reintroduce myself to the community, since I’ve been away for a while, and let you know what I’ve been up to and what I plan on doing next.

For those who are not aware of how Freedom Earth began, in the summer of 2011 I started to experience what I can only describe as a spiritual awakening, which led me to seek answers online to better understand what was happening to me. This led me to Dr. Georgi Stankov’s website,, where I found a plethora of information on what he calls the light body process or what is more commonly referred to as the ascension process in the New Age community.

This spiritual awakening experience involved having intense lucid dreams, out of body experiences, and a drive to disconnect and deprogram myself from the conditioning of the modern world. This affected my life dramatically, and caused me to experience an entire paradigm shift in my view of reality, as I sought answers to the big questions of life and a deeper understanding of who I was and what exactly I was doing here.

Going down the rabbit hole took me on an alternative path to the life I had been leading before, and the name Freedom Earth came to me one day with a strong impulse to take action and start an online community with others who were also going through the awakening process.

So, in late 2011 I started the Freedom Earth subreddit at, and and a few months later I started a blog at where I wrote about my experiences and did outreach with the online community.

Fast forward now to 2014, which was when I decided to explore the intentional communities movement in Virginia as a member of Acorn Community, which is the sister community of Twin Oaks, the largest and oldest active intentional community in the region. While I was there, I gained a lot of firsthand experience about how intentional communities are run, and spent time visiting several other communities of different structures and sizes in the area.

After I left Acorn later that year, I decided to move to Washington DC to work on the Basic Income Project and participate in activism events in a cell of Anonymous. Ultimately, I decided to leave DC to pursue other work, and while I learned a lot from my time with these groups, I found that what they were offering was simply not what I was looking for. I commend the people of these groups for their efforts, but personally I think the real answer lies in education and self development.

Both Anonymous and the intentional communities revolved around anarchism, which is not an effective system in my opinion. Strong leadership and a central vision were sorely lacking in both of those groups, as well as effective recruitment, which is common for these types of organizations.

Furthermore, I found that protesting, while it creates a lot of noise and attention, is an ineffective way to create change in the world, and lobbying is the way to go, if changing legislation is your ultimate goal.

So, after spending a lot of time in the world of activism and alternative living, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue doing this work, and for a while I was committed to pursuing other things. But ultimately, I knew deep down that this work is what I know I have to do, and so, after taking a lot of time to meditate on my past experiences I realized that the core problem in those movements was the same problem with the rest of the world that I always knew from the beginning, that The people of planet Earth are simply not ready to evolve to the next level of consciousness as a galactic society and need more education.

And I sincerely ask for you not to take this message in the wrong way. This is not an insult, nor a claim that I am someway superior to anyone else. It is simply a conclusion that I’ve drawn that more people need to put in the personal work to deprogram themselves from their past traumas, emotional issues, and fear-based conditioning in order for the species to progress in its development.

I am here serving as a guide and messenger to deliver information to the people of planet Earth that if you want real change to occur, the only way it can is through spiritual development. Attempting to change the system from within will not create a paradigm shift. While progress is certainly being made through legislation, the only way the major problems of the world will be resolved is through humanity growing up and becoming a more evolved species.

This means letting go of superficial ideals that do not serve you. This means learning how to master your emotions and live without the burden of material attachment. I am telling you from experience that happiness cannot be found through desire. It is only through pursuing your passions and being in your element that you will find true satisfaction.

For example, true happiness cannot be found via the pursuit of money, fame, or status, but only through personal passions such as performance for those who are natural performers, like singers, dancers, actors, etc. It is in the act of utilizing your skills to the utmost extent and unleashing your full potential that you will find the happiness that you desire.

And look, I know that there is always the voice in the back of your head that is telling you to be realistic, telling you that life is difficult, and that is the source of your suffering. When you allow yourself to let go of your false notions and perceived limitations, you will find your personal power and the freedom to experience joy in life.

Okay, I’m going to stop this video here, but in the future, I will be creating more videos and other educational materials. Thank you watching, and I’ll see you next time.
