Stay Positive

Throughout our lives, there are times that we become disconnected from the reason why we are here. With so many distractions competing for our attention, it is easy to forget that life is just a game, and it does not need to be taken so seriously. Of course, this does not mean be apathetic or ignorant, it simply means don’t sweat the small stuff, and remember to keep things in perspective.

We spend so much time trying to solve problems, analyze situations, look good, and be right that we often lose sight of what’s really important. In the end, we all have the same ultimate goal in mind, to live successful and fulfilling lives, and it is vital that we do not lose focus of this intention.

In the heat of action, I find that humor is the best way to keep myself and others in a connected and positive state of being. Even if you are faced with unsatisfactory circumstances, making light of the situation always helps in keeping yourself grounded and out of the negative energy pattern.

We undergo many hardships throughout our third dimensional incarnations, and at times things can appear to be really dreadful. Through positive thinking and humor, we can make the conscious decision to perceive life in a way that is more favorable to us, and allow our personal situations to simply exist without all of the excess baggage and drama.

  1. Drama and wallowing in self-pity and complaint is a great way to not having to consider alternatives and solutions. We don’t even have sufficient free space and focus left to consider or see them. Our problems are quite often also our comfort zone because that’s what we have known and experienced all the time and it’s just got to be real tough on us. Having a tough life even comes with social esteem: oh look, how well he’s coping (or not, that’s even irrelevant). Talking about your drama all the time will make you become that drama-identity which might be harder to overcome than even the drama as such. Getting on a far lighter note about it all meets with a neurotic and self-destructive need to stay in trouble. The amazingly easy way out that is always being offered (as happiness, love, abundance et al are our real and natural state of existence) if you can just go with the flow of nudges and spontaneous appearing of advice (overhear someone, a text …) and practical help can ultimately put you in a state of ‘unbearable lightness of being’ and that is way out of our daily depths of suffering and the identity that comes with it. But if you can get into that state of lightness be ready to become unidentifiable by others and even invisible to them.

  2. @Dominique: You make a lot of great points, and I can’t argue that even the notions of “stay positive”, “look on the bright side”, all of those advices are still pertaining to the superficial dualistic construct. There really is no being positive or negative, it’s something we make up subjectively, but as long as we remain in clay vessels and maintain a subjective perspective of reality, I think it’s okay to suggest these things because they serve as reminders that help to knock us out of the negative energy pattern when we get stuck.
